Hello,

I'm trying to create a simple watermark picture that contains text, like the word "sample", and have that text show up in all 4 corners of the picture.  So, I created a watermark.gif file with a transparent background and put that text in the 4 corners.

However, upon being overlaid on the picture the background is shown as white, not transparant, which gives the entire image a look like it is "fuzzy" sice the white is blended in as part of the watermark image.

Perhaps I am doing something wrong with the image?

I've tried finding some documentation on the gallery module but cannot seem to find any.  Am I looking in the wrong places?  I've downloaded all the pdf docs (DotNetNuke_4.3.1_Docs.zip) and don't see anything in there.  I've also searched these forums and have found a little regarding watermarks, but nothing about the background transparency.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't help you out to much with the watermark stuff but try not setting any trasparency at all and see what happens.

Since the Gallery is still Beta there is no documentation yet.  Things change to much for it to be worth while.

Cheers,

Hi,

Thanks for the info.  I tried not setting the transparancy and had the same result.  I've already recreated a test pic from scratch just to be sure I didn't mess anything up.

I was not aware that the Gallery module was in beta.  It's included as part of the DNN 4.3.4 install and it looks like the current version is 3.00.12.  Where do I find out which modules are in beta?  I'm certainly willing to help myself before asking for help from others, but either I'm looking in all the wrong places or it's just not readily apparent.

Also, I clicked on the release notes in the download section for 3.00.12 but they are empty. (See my below copy & paste).

File Release Notes and Chog

Release Name: 03.00.12

Notes:

Changes:

http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=426393&group_id=77052

However, I can surely agree with your documentation statement regarding beta products.

Thanks in advance for any info supplied.

I don't think that there really is a process for letting people know that a module is in Beta.  Other than reading through the form posts and checking on Gemini.

For this one though there is a message pinned to the top of the threads from one of the team members saying it's beta.  ;)

I'm pretty new to the project so I don't really know why things are the way they are other than it's just pretty much worked out that way so far.  There was pretty much only one person working on this module for quite a long time and he was getting over worked.

Oh, you mean this sticky forum post?

Gallery 3.0.12 included with DNN 3.3.1/4.3.1 release is still BETA AND a separate download too.

Gotta get my head out of the search box and just troll once in a while I guess.  Thanks for being kind to me.
