I think I'll get .net 2.0 instead of going backwards with DNN. All my other projects are curently using 1.1 so I've been reluctant to upgrade. I went to the MS .net site and it appears I can run both versions of .net and just tell each project in what version to use via IIS settings. Hopefully, MS has a utility that makes it relatively painless to switch from one version to another.

Thanks for all the help!

I'm having the same problem "DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler"

I haven't found a way to tell IIS on Windows 2000 Advanced Server that i want to use .NET 2.0 instead of 1.1. So i'm not sure which one it's using. I know in Windows Server 2003 it places a tab where you can select the version. But not in 2000.

Has anyone found a solution?

I figured what my problem was... I rebooted the server once everyone went home for the day. The tab "ASP.NET" tab then showed up. I was able to set it to use version 2.0, and everything is dandy.

Which versions of windows are you running.  I've got the same problem and the asp.net tab isn't appearing for me (in xp pro).
