Hi everyone,

I am new to DNN and to FCK and after testing DNN out for a bit I installed the FCK editor version 1.00.06 into my DNN root as per the install.txt instructions. My version of DNN is 4.3.4 starterkit download and I am running from the filesystem since I don't have IIS on my laptop.

The error I get is this:

A critical error has occurred.
The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.

That comes up after adding a new page and then trying to edit the page. What have I done wrong and how do I fix it?

Thanks,

Bryan

This is a common problem when installing DNN into a deeper folder (Not only DNN but every asp.net app).

As every case is different, please post the error shown at your DNN log and I will see if there is something we can do.
