Hello

I am having difficulty accessing my site.

I see this error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current
custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the
application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It
could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be
viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a
"web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the
current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its
"mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom
error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the
application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error
page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I opened my web.config file and changed

<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" />
to
<customErrors mode="Off" />

But then I got this error:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Server Error in '/' Application.
Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the
subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an
expression.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the
current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information
about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Subquery returned

Source Error:

can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So I changed back to <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" />

The error continues and I still am unable to access site.

I don't know what to do to solve this.  My hosting providers are very good but they are stumped too.

All suggestions appreciated.

 Thanks

Lynn

Have you ever managed to access the site?

If so what was the last change you made before the error came up?

If not then it sounds like the install hasn't gone correctly, might be quicker to delete everything and start again.

Hello

Yes the site was up and running with Dnn 3.2.2 I attempted to upgrade to 3.3.4.  I carefully folllowed upgrade instructions from tutorial but it was not successful.

The upgrade had the same error as above.  My hosting provider tried a fresh upgrade, that did not work either.They then took everything back and reinstalled the backup files and backup DB, but even that did not work. They then installed a fresh DNN 3.2.2 and reinstalled the backup database.  This is where we are now.  My hosting provider has tried very hard but we can't get the site back,  they say it is a DNN error.

I don't know how to get it working.  I would rather not delete and start again from scratch if possible.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Sorry got me beat... If the code and database was restored to the state it was before the upgrade process started and the site worked before the upgrade started then it should work.
Hopefully, someone else with more knowledge than me can chime in.
