Hi,

I followed tutorial from http://adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/DNN_Things4Sale/Default.htm to develp a model, it went well. but does anyone know how to delete a module definitin form DNN 4.3.4? say to delet 'Thingsforsale' module from DNN.

Also, If I want to make such 'Thingforsale' module in my portal sitting in my hosting server, what is the best way to install the module? What I see from the tutorial is that I will have to use MS Studio FTP method to open my website and do the module coding and then build the websie. But I think that sounds stupid. Is there a way to pack my module and upload it to my website and install?

Cheers

Delete module or package module - log in portal with Host account and then go to menu Host->Module Definitions.  Select the module and go to the detail page.  You can delete module or package the module.  The option to package the module in at the bottom of the page.

That is great, i can delet the module definition now, thany you very much for your help workcontrol!

Now, after people make up their own module, how do they normally upload and install the customized modules to their DNN4.X.X website?

Should I just use FTP to upload my module to 'DesktopModule' folder and possibly some files to 'APP_Code' folder, then add  module definition and add the desktop module to the module definition?

From the 'ThingForSale' tutorial, it demonstrates how to get the module up and running on the development machine, but did not introduce how to install the module into the DNN website sitting in the host server. In the tutorial, we have to click 'Build' in MS Studio 2005. Do I have to do the same thing to my website on the host server? It is very slow to use MS Studio 2005 FTP mode to open my DNN website sitting on the host server, I guess it will not go through if i 'build' the website through MS studio 2005 FTP access.

Any idea?

Cheers

Yay, got the problem solved already.

Just simply upload the thingforsale folder in APP_Code folder and thingsforsale folder in desktop folder into the same directory through FTP and then add the control to the newly created module definition, then it is up!
