Hi all,

To provide support to DNN users, administrators and developers I'm setting up a "Wikipedia" style web site at www.dnnwiki.net.

It is going to be managed as www.wikipedia.org is, after all it's not done too badly! The idea being that people can contribute to the documentation as it evolves.

However, it does require initial thought in top level "areas" of documentation, to provide an intial top level set of pages to get the ball rolling.

So if you'd like to be involved, please visit www.dnnwiki.net and get in contact.

Many thanks,
Simon

so hows it going, no responses yet?  You might want to talk to charles Nurse.

Maybe you two can coordinate your sites.

Hiya -

a fair amount of traffic, but understandably I suspect alot will be interested in it once there is a lot of content on it as "users" of the site, rather than contributors.

I'm sure it will be a case of exponential growth as I can appreciate that whilst there is little content there is little to comment on, and people are busy so creating new pages can be time consuming. So for now, I will continue to add and thanks to all those who said they will come by and help out when they can.

Anyone who wants to contribute to the DNN wiki site please come along to www.dnnwiki.net !

Simon, I think the idea of a DNN Wiki is terrific, and I hope that it really takes off. It seems to me that it's probably the best possible format to build a knowledge base about DNN.

Out of curiosity, are you using the DNN project Wiki module for the Wiki?

Thanks - I appreciate the more it grows, the more interest it will generate, so anyone who wants to help out, please come by the web site and contribute.

I'm using the Ktomics Wiki module. I looked at the core offering but it was not stable and didn't want to be fighting with the module itself. The Ktomics module appears stable and proven.

I did consider not using DNN and goinng for one of the bigger Wiki applications such as used for Wikipedia for example, but felt that one of the main aims of the site was to promote DNN and so therefore should really use DNN and a Wiki module.

I pleased with it - there are many things I would like to be able to that I can't with the Wiki module, but it certainly makes www.dnnwiki.net a breeze to maintain - along with DNN of course.

Thanks for your feedback - join in and tell others :)
