I've noticed that when I syndicate a links module and then place a newsfeed on another page to show a few of the latest links that a hyphen "-" is inserted between the module name of the links module and the title of the particular link that is being fed.

I was hoping that if I just kept the links module name empty that the hyphen wouldn't be there either - but it's still there.

Is there somewhere that I can tell whatever is placing that hyphen to just stop? If it requires a core change - that's fine too, just tell me where please :)

Thankyou.

Without having to code infront of me at work, I believe Syndication is part of the core framework. As such, I would be willing to bet that by default all modules that use it have the module name in the title. Instead of changing the core, why not create a custom XSLT file that modifies the output as you need or want it? This is generally what I do with any feeds that are used in any DNN sites I do.

Thanks, that is exactly what I ended up doing :)

On another note (scratching head)....I was under the impression that when a links module is syndicated, that the newsfeed would have specific urls to each element (TItle). For some reason, my newsfeed is of the page that has the links module - every link is like that.

I clicked the xml button on the links module itself, and sure enough, each link contains the same url....hmm...
