Also, the release.config has the meduim trust setting commented out, development.config does not.

Use of a tool like BeyondCompare makes comparing things a piece of cake.

It would be nice to know from release to release what has been changed in the web.config. I know it would save me a ton of time if I didnt have to go through the web.config and transfer all of the information for connection strings, editors, custom modules etc.

Does anyone know if the web.config from 4.3.4 to 4.3.5 has changed?

I'll have to try beyond compare, thanks Ed.

Beyond Compare is the best, I've used it for as long as I can remember. You'll feel the same way as when you got your first Tivo, "Man, how did I make it before this?";)

Same here, this is BY FAR the hardest part about upgrading -- going through and copying all the changes you made to the web.config. What we should be doing is changing the original web.config, not going to the new one and copying over keys & changes. And some mistakes will just destroy your site if you haven't backed-up both site and db.

What is BeyondCompare?  I haven't heard of it before and a search didn't reveal anything.
