I installed DNN 4.3.5 as per the instructions, and most everything runs fine, except when I go to add a basic module.  The standard things like the Link Module, Text/HTML module etc do not appear in the drop down when I go to add a module to a page. I have tried adding some older 3.x modules ( which added fine ).

What have I done if anything, and what can I do to get these basic core modules to appear?

Cheers,

Miles

Confirm that you used the Install version, now the Upgrade version.  None of the modules are included with the Upgrade version.

You can confirm which modules are in your install by looking in \Install\Module after unzipping your package.

The Install/Module folder is blank.  I will start over, redownload the package and try again.

Hi, I was having the same problem (using vs2005 starter kit, new website)

Then I realized I need to set folder security to allow full access to ASP.NET and Network Service users.  After I have done that the problem is solved.

I am not sure if that was my issue or not, glad to hear yours was fixed.
