This module was installed with the version of DNN that I am testing.  I am wondering if anyone is using it in an actual production site?  Beyond trying to comprehend how use it - that is, set it up, I cannot see shipping working correctly.  Please correct me if I am wrong - I just don't want to start using software for eCommerce that is not ready.

Thanks.

Try a search on the store forums and you'll find a few topics along this line.

The short answer is yes, there are some stores in production (http://www.retropack.co.uk is my production site), but to get the code working requires a fair number of changes, the current store code doesn't work "out of the box".

You're right on shipping too, unless you have a very simple shipping model (where every order has a flat rate) it doesn't work.

I had to implement my own weight-based shipping rates, you can see a demo of this at the site in my signature.

I was afraid of that.  I browsed in here from the Joomla + VirtueMart avenue because I am primarily a Windows based developer myself.  I have quite a bit of Classic ASP and several years of C# but have not done any ASP.NET programming.  It appears after reading some of the documentation that developing modules for DNN is like having all your teeth drilled and then pulled out at the same time.

I see that Emerald Solutions has what looks like a knock-off of the store for $$$ - I might have to go that route just to get some sites online.

I'm trying but it doesn't seem to work- Try testing the paypal integration- The Return to merchant button doesn't work and paypal says the wrong info is being passed- This kills it for me, as the customers dangle and the the transaction never completes- Have you had better success?
