Hello more informed people than I,

I operate a growing ecommerce website.  I am being adviced to  update my site using DNN mainly backed by Catalook ecommerce engine as well as incorporate the Blogging module in News Scroll module etc..  The current site is a content managment tool created in PHP but my romanian web development company moved beyond website projects to MX extentions.  I never heard of DNN until a few months ago. 

Can DNN and Catalook or another ecommerce engine support a small but rapidly growing ecommerce company?   Because this is a realitively new technology are my customers going to run into frequent bugs navigating through product lists or check out? If I incorporate the different modules does that increase my chances of errors and potential security threats?
