I need to customize my links. At first I tried just modifying the default link code (a:link, a:visited, a:active, a:hover) in the style sheet that I access through "site" and then "stylesheet editor" but that ended up changing the look of ALL the links (register, login, terms, etc.) even though those other links are already under the custom link class "a.SkinObject".

So I tried to put the same default link code in other stylesheets like the portal.css and the skin.css (from my skin folder), but it still would affect the a.SkinObject links regardless of where I put it.

Finally, I decided to create a custom link class, which works fine if I hand code the links to make sure the class is assigned to them. However, there will be other people adding to this website who are unfamiiar with html and so I need to know where to put a link class so that it shows up in the "styles" drop down window of the user interface. If I just write a non-link class (in the stylesheet that's under the "stylesheet editor"), it shows up in the drop down window, but for some reason the link class doesn't.

(Sorry if this is confusing, I am a newbie and am not completely clear about how DNN works.)
