Installation

·        Downloaded Version  4.1 of DotNetNuke Frame work and tried to install, but it was Corrupted.

·        Again downloaded the same Version and tried to install  but the Version was unable to support.

·        Downloaded  Version 3.5 it was working good.

·        We created a Virtual Directory, as per instructions given in DotNetNuke Docs, we changed the web-config file under configuration->SectionGroup->Section we were asked to add an attribute “required permission = False” , due to this an error occurred and so we removed the attribute.

·        Then it showed an error “Authentication Mode = Forms

·        So we tried to delete the DotNetNuke default website folder and then we tried to copy the DotNetNuke folder into “C:\Inetpub\wwroot  and then tried to create a virtual directory.

·        It showed another error saying “Error in Data Base Version”.

·        So we downloaded the “SQL server 2005 Enterprise Edition”, but it was unable to install.

·        Later we installed  SQL server 2005 Enterprise Edition” from CD and created the database according to the Project requirements.

·        Again it showed the  error “Authentication Mode = Forms

This sounds like a configuration problem in your environment. Can you get any asp.net application to work? If you need further help, I would try the General forums as this is not an issue that has anything to do with the forum module.
