Hey guys, I cant login in at all as host or admin!I am using the XP PRO and sql 2005 express(dnn 4.3.5). My install goes great ....all success's! Portal start up fast and when I click on login it hangs or reverts back to the login/home page with no one logged in. I have reinstalled several times and am following the install steps from Professional DotNetNuke 4.0. I cannot find any other posts like this one where I cant login as host,admin or register as a new user at all. I have double checked the web.config.....set asp.net rights to the web folder and properly set IIS. Any suggestions?

Well...I figured it out....to bad it was after 12 hours of reinstalling DNN......"It's not the program!, It's not the program!" From the mouth of Jimmy Fallon. I guess I should have known. It turns out my situation was zonalarm 6. It seems even in learning mode it did not allow the login to the portal. Fortunately microsofts firewall works fine with IIS and sql/dnn setup. As soon as I shut down ZA it worked perfect.

 

FOKO: Sorry...no....this was directly related to the admin/host login on a fresh/new install. Good luck though.

Help! I just upgraded to 4.3.5 from 4.3.4 and now I cannot login as either the Admin or the Host. I made IsLocked 0 and still no go. It's obviously getting to the db because it's logging my failed password attempts. Is there anyway to debug this? Or is it possible that the host password was reset to the dnnhost?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
