My question is -- who moderates this [Announce It!] forum.   I have posted a couple of threads for the Announcements section that are very relevant to Dotnetnuke Modules being available but they never made it to the forum.  I guess, my question is -- why?  I never see any indication that they were reviewed, refused for some reason or accepted.   It's like I throw my message into the ether and it disappears.

I believe my posts about a significant version change for a portal workflow module is very relevant to how people use DotNetNuke so I guess I don't get it.   Hoping this post will open a dialog regarding the matter, feel free to email me --

Hi Bill,

There are several of us that moderate the forum.
If your post has been rejected then there should be an e-mail that explains why.

I don't personally remember your posts and I very rarely delete anyones post so hopefully another moderator will see this and let you know.

Bill ~

All Core Team members have access to the moderation queue for the forum.  And as John indicated, emails are sent which indicate the reason for any moderation action + any applicable note from the moderator.  If you care to send me your post ( via email ) I will have a look at it and provide my own feedback ( or post it for you ).  scott dot willhite at dotnetnuke dot com

Kind Regards,
Scott

Good Morning Guys,

First off -- thanks so much for looking into this for me.

In July, I posted an announcement (or.. tried..) for a file transfer module.   I watched for several days following it and didn't see the post approval (nor, my post count incremented -- that should've told me something)

After not seeing it, I walked away feeling it must not be forumworthy.
Apparently it bombed out or maybe I, in a caffeinated stupor, spent 20 minutes entering the announcement, got distracted and never submitted it -- Don't know. I don't see it in "my posts" but distinctly remember seeing the "Submitted to be Moderated" message but, hey-- could be the bawls wreaking havok on my memory.

Then -

I posted  "Announcing: NukeFlow Portal Workflow 2.0" on 9/26 @ 2:42 pm CST.   Later that evening (~ 10:30 pm) - I checked the forum and the message had still not been rejected or accepted - I reposted it.  (Shouldn't have.. feel free to delete the dupe if you would like..)

The next morning, still not seeing the post or any indications, so rememberig that the File transfer module posting did not show and feeling a little frustrated I posted this message.

It looks like the original message was approved on 9/27 at 12:35pm.

So, I guess I jumped the gun, it was approved it was just the next day -- my bad. =)

-Bill

Actually, I always receive a reply when I make a post. However, my problem is, and has been for months, the sorry search feature for the entire forum. I almost never find what I am looking for, and most times no results at all are returned. I usually go to goolge, and more often times than not, I end up back at the asp.net forum looking for answers. I have never had a satisfactory search here for whatever reason. Even when you scale it back to one simple word, you get no results.
