When ever I browse the site from any browser local or remote, the Dnn changes the url from http:\\mydnnsite.net to http:\\localhost\mydnnsite.

Of course only the local server where the site is installed will find the site.

Does anyone know what is going on?

I'm using dnn 4.3.5 install. It has installed with no problems except this one.

It sounds like your localhost was set up as the PortalAlias, so every attempt to access your site redirects to that URL.

In the PortalAlias table, you would need to add an entry (or entries if you have more than one portal) to reference the http:\\mydnnsite.net URL rather than localhost.  You can also get to this from the Host menu, under Portal Definitions.

Hope it helps!
