Hi there,

I added the reference to TextHTML control DNN control to my module:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="TextEditor" Stc="~controls/TextEditor.ascx" %>

Then I use it on my module acsx file like:

<dnn:texteditor id="teBody" runat=server"></dnn:texteditor>

My problem is that when I try to access the control like getting the actual content in the codebehind it's doesn't work

teBody.Text (when I write teBody I don't get autocomplete for the properties...)

Any ideas?

Well you have the code correct. If you place a link button on the page and then have code such as:

string mycontent = this.teBody.Text;

it should work. the only thing I would try is to actually drag the control from the Controls folder onto your user control page rather than just typing in the "Register TagPrefix" code manually.

Michael I tried to drag the control to the module instead of writing the Register code manually but nothing changed

To access the control properties I have to cast it

E.g. ((Dotnetnuke.UI.UserControls.TextEditor)teBody).Text  »» works fine

Do you know where can I get a sample module in C# that is using DNN controls and was built with the template project?

Thanks,

Carlos Mendes

When you create a module using the DotNetNuke 4.3.5 Starter Kit it creats a Settings.aspx page that has the TextEditor control and the code behind to access the value of the property. That is where I got the code in my previous post.

Is this the code that didn't work for you?
