Hi folks,

I have been setting up the gallery module for DNN 4.3.5 the last couple of days and first off all it is a great module offering lots of functionality out of the box ... good job !

The reason I am posting here is because during my installation/configuration activities it has also driven me crazy from times to times ...

Besides setting up different albums I also created a complete new skin ...

Here is a list of some remarks/observations/etc ...

  • The solpart menu icon - I don't understand why it has to remain visible if I am looking at the page as a user that doesn't have authorisation to do something on the album - it messes up my skin and I had to get ridd of it by using a transparent gif ...
  • If I turn off the option that users can vote on the image then why does it show the "zero stars" image ? Once again transparent images came to help here but it is just eating up space
  • Would be nice to have the option to display or not display image file names ... who is interested in those - they are ugly and eat up space ?
  • If I don't choose any sort criteria then it shouldn't show an empty drop down box and checkbox
  • Would be nice to choose whether the description for an image is shown on the list or only at the detail popup
  • I entered an album description but is it not shown anywhere ( I don't have subalbums - just straight images at root album ) ... so what is the use of adding one then ?
  • Would be nice to control the image controls when looking at the detail image - I don't want the user to give the abilitiy to rotate, black&white, etc ...
  • It would be nice to control where the watermark is added on the image - now it seems to be right upper side by default
  • When adding content, images are put in the "Still to upload" part but if you then forget to click the "upload" functionality and click the "cancel" page then you are not warned that you still have content to upload - the problem is that afterwards you cannot upload it again anymore because it complains that the file allready exists ( bug ? )
