I use WAP and it works great.  You just have to setup your environment a little differently.  Once setup, though, everything works just like on VS2003.

I just wish all this information was organized better. We have blogs (completely unorganized), forums (better), documentation (out-dated), and books (way out-dated). We also have core members with websites offering very useful tid bits, and just regular users like me just complaining. ;) I'm thinking a knowledge base or FAQ would be great.

A forum with sticky would be a start.

Thanks, that looks like what I'm doing but using a more sophisticated method of copying the files to the DNN web site directory than a batch file!   I will use this technique from now on, thanks!

I agree totally!  I think a start would be making these forums unmoderated.  Communication is painfully slow at times.

Don't forget Gemini as well (for bugs/enhancements).

It seems that the only reason for using WSP rather than WAP is to cater for people developing with VWD.  It would be interesting to find out what percentage of module developers are using VWD over VS2005.

Even if you are using Visual Studio 2005, the WSP model is far easier to configure and use. With 300,000+ members that is important.

see:

The Fastest Easiest Development Environment (without using IIS).

We now provide truly rapid development. I urge you to try these newest revolutionary changes, then decide which you prefer.
