I have a problem on creating new portals. Basically, my DNN is version 3.2 on SqlDataProvider and .NET Framework 1.1.4322.2300. When I try to create a new child portal with a template, it'll come back with server can't be found page. When I view the new created(corrupted) portal site setting page, I found an error page as Error: Site Settings is currently unavailable with an empty HTTP Alias.

Any idea?

Besides, every time I'm creating a new portal, I got "page can not be displayed" error. Although I can see the new portal in portals page, It only has an empty HTTP Alias against the new portal.

I've tried to create new portal with/without content in template, but neither is working.

I had a look on backend database as well. It seems all those corrupted portals has some wired values in portals table:

    • Logofile,  Correct: FileID = 1104    Corrupted:  topbanner.jpg
    • HomeTabId, Correct: NULL  Corrupted: -1
    • LoginTabId, Correct: NULL   Corrupted: -1
    • UserTabId, Correct: NULL    Corrupted: -1
    • SplashTabId, Correct: NULL Corrupted: -1

Since I only got those errors after launching the website on live site, would it be too much traffic affecting my portal creation process?

I have the exact same problem (3.3.5), but with parent portals. Using the default 'portal' template works fine, but when using my own exported template created on 3.3.3 I get see the exact same problem. With or without content in the template.

There must be something the template does not like.

any help?
