I just finished a new install of dnn4 and I have no host menu.

How do I get it back?

Login as host instead of admin?

I also got this same problem athough my installation is local. I am able to logon as host or admin but the login page reappears without any error. The disappointing thing is that the page does not have the admin or host menus and secondly its like it never logged on as the login url still appears

I changed the updatepassword field in the users table and the next time I tried to login the system prompted me to change the password which happened without errors.

A Previous post indicated that the script loading the menus may not be running.... What prevent it from running and how can I over come this issue

James

k_james, are you sure you're getting logged in, perhaps your cookies are being blocked?

I think I was, othewise it would not be possible to change the admin or host password.

I realised that I had windows sharepoint services running and once I uninstalled it the login issues were resolved.

Thanks,

Regards
