Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between original web.config contents in 4.3.4 and 4.3.5? I am going to upgrade and I dont want to compare my modified web.config (connection strings, FCK editor, ...) line by line with the new one...

BTW, it would be really useful to have the information about web.config differences after each new version release...

Maybe it can be found somewhere, but I dont know where :-(

I use a great invaluable tool called Beyond Compare to compare files. Couldn't survive without it!

But the only two lines that are different are 47 & 48:

4.3.4

   47) <add key="RemoveAngleBrackets" value="false" />
   48) <!--optionally strip angle brackets on public login and registration screens-->

4.3.5
   47) <add key="RemoveAngleBrackets" value="false" /><!--optionally strip angle brackets on public login and registration screens-->
   48) <add key="PersistentCookieTimeout" value="0" /><!--use as persistent cookie expiration. Value is in minutes, and only active if a non-zero figure-->

Thanks Chris,

According to your finding, it seems that the only difference is the addition of line:

<add key="PersistentCookieTimeout" value="0" /><!--use as persistent cookie expiration. Value is in minutes, and only active if a non-zero figure-->

When upgrading, it is indeed much easier for me to add this one line to my current web.config than trying to extract all my custom additions and copy them in the new web.config.

Before you upgrade I will make you sure you have back up copy of your database and your current web.config for DNN 4.3.4.

As soon as you drop the files for DNN 4.3.5 the full install already have a web.config file and you want to make sure it doesn't get override it, in case the upgrade doesn't work for you.... AGAIN make sure you back up web.config & database so you don't panic in case Murphy's strike back.
