I am having problems with the schedule for this item. When our servers get busy this process seems to hang and then the system appears to spawn multiple threads working on the same schedule item (appears multiple times in the schedule history with none of them being marked as complete).  Once this happens the server that is listed in the run on option uses 60% or more CPU just managing that process.  Is there a way to tell it not to start another schedule if one is running and is there any way to optimize the process so that it runs faster?

Currently have production servers on 3.1.1. If an upgrade to a newer version will help, let me know that.

BTW, is there ever going to be a stable version of 3.3.x released?  Waiting for one that bakes for more than 3 weeks before I move to the new version.
