Basically it's simple: To create the users by hand... I can't be changing the web.config each time a user has to login and can't leave mixed mode working as it doesn't pass the right credentials... hey, I want the users loged in by its domain name not NT Authority..

So be it, as what I thought was WRONG - the password inserted in DNN is not the Domain user's password. It can be anything... it will be validated by the domain. So I only need to insert users with his name, surname and username (must be the same as the domain name, like "domain\username".

And a password, you can set it up and forget it... he will use the domain user's one to validate the credentials.

This might sound complicated as I have to create the users by hand... but hey, it's 3 fields only and anyway I would have to set-up their security and roles anyway so it's no major work.

That has worked for me, hope it does for you.

Anyway the AD module should be able to create the users in a future....

Regards,
Jose Luis

Jose,

Wow...I have spent 2 weeks going through everyone's solutions here and yours worked instantly. I added the domain\users with a made up password and it instantly logged them in. Thanks so much for the simplest of solutions. I had noticed that it was adding the users and trying to log in. I noticed 5 bad user logins on my account and realized it was adding the name but not logging in. I look forward to the next release when we won't have enter the names manually.

Tom
