Well that wasn't it.

Paying close attention to the upgrade process, there is something not working in going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3 and above. It is unclear what it is. Something is appearing like a Null value against the FileManager tabs for Host and Admin. It is not an upgrade issue to 4.3.5 per se, so I will post the specificerrors elsewhere. For info, here is the specific upgrade error messages:

Checking elsewhere, it seems that the DB has some file references to files that were deleted out of the site file structure, eg docs, etc. Strong possibility this is causing the Upgrade problems, and definitely will cause a loss of the File Manager.

please check in your database the tables folders and files and delete any orphans.

I found one folder orphan!

I can't delete thru the DB Viewer I have, so I'm getting the ISP to do that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ok,  resolved!

In addition to the orphan folder and file problem, the IWPD permissions had been dropped on the Portal folders in the process of checking things out. All now working.
