Open a child portal

login as admin

make a link with a new window to a page on another child portal or home portal

and not get logged out ?

if so Ill give you a cookie, you have to provide solution though :)

Can't be done. 
Both portals use the same domain for their auth cookie. 
When you get to the other portal, DNN will remove the auth cookie since the portal you are trying to access does not match the one you are authorized in.

You could do this if they are on different hosts (parent portals).

e.g.  child1.mydomain.com, child2.mydomain.com

I thought I posted a answer to this but, anyways, i see this as a problem

the solution for me is to add a row to the userportals table

but long term, I think this should be handled by changing how the framework deals with cookies.
