Hi. Is it possible to utilize the current URL as a parameter in the query for the reports module?

For example, if the current URL is this:

/MyPage/tabid/245/EntryID/16/Default.aspx

I would like to utilze 245 and 16, for example, in the query so that the report is contextually relevant to the other information displayed on that page.

If this is possible, how would I do it? Thanks.

This is not possible in the current version. However, in the next version you would be able to use the TabID in the query as I have implemented a simple parameter system that allows you to use the current PortalId, TabId, ModuleId, and UserId in your queries. There is a plan for a more advanced parameter system in the version after that which would allow you to use the "EntryID" query string field in your example or any arbitrary URL fields, as well as more advanced parameters that let you use other data regarding the current session (User Name, Profile Data, etc.).

Is it possible to press in any variable through a querystring at the end of the address for the page that the reports module is on?  Something like http://disabilityvoicespace.org/dnn/DAWNCommentsConnection/tabid/77/Default.aspx?ArticleID=Hello2

I would like to pass the article ID to the SQL statement so only the rows where articleID equals a certain value.

For instance I would like to have the SQL statement be something like this

Select * from DAWNArtCommTable where articleID= articleID

I'm surprised there isn't something like this out there somewhere if this module doesn't have
