Hi there,

I am new to the dotnetnuke technology, it sounds very interesting and promising. But I do not have the money to buy the SQL 2005 server software, nor the Visual Studio programs, not to mention a commercial grade static ip internet connection. I want to start to "play around" with the dotnet nuke, so how could do so. If doing it at home is NOT impossible, are there any hosting services that will let me try the dotnetnuke. If so, could some one provide a name. Is there any client server tehcnoloogy that I need to remote connect to a dotnetnuke hosting service?

Please get back to me.

Thanks

Mike

It is possible to try at home for free.  You can download SQL Server Express and Visual Web Developer from Microsoft for free.  Then you can try out the DNN starter kit at home.  VWD has a built in development web server you can use if you do not have IIS.

Since you asked - if you would like to try it out at a host - follow the link in my sig to my site and contact me and I can provide you with a demo site to try for free.
