Is it possible to convert an SQL Server 2005 database to SQL Server 2005 Express database? If yes, what is the best/easiest procedure to do it?

I have DNN + SQL Server 2005 combination at my webhoster's server, and I would like to to have DNN + SQL Server 2005 Express locally, and occasionally transfer the "live" data to my local PC...

There is no special conversion procedure. A database from SQL 2005 can be copied to SQL Express (so long as it is under the 4GB size limit for SQL Express databases). Just do a SQL backup of your database, copy the backup to home, and restore it though SQL Express Management Studio.
