I would suggest NOT using the XML/RSS feed that's included with the Gooddogs Repository Module, but instead use the built-in Syndicate function of DNN.

Turn OFF RSS feed at the Repository Settings level, then use the Action Menu -< Syndicate option to generate your RSS feed.

As a matter of fact, the Repository RSS feed options will be removed in the next release, so it would be a good idea to switch to the DNN Syndicate method anyways.

No, the RSS feed is generated via the same function that generates the Search results, so the description is truncated at 100 characters. Both the Search results and the RSS feed are intented to provide a short overview ( or summary ) of the items that you would click on the view the entire item or description.

You are not the first person to ask for this though, so I will probably make this a configurable option in a future release
