Hi there,

I have added a new module according to all instructions and VS2005 always shows me 32 Compiled and 1 Skipped and 0 errors. I can never see that the added module has been compiled and added to my solution.

I am using the source kit of DNN 4.3.5. VS2005 Professional, SQL Server Express on WindowsXP Pro platform.

Do I need do add a reference to the added module (Namespace is "YourCompany") ? Where do I do that as it obviously is not made automatically and not part of the instructions on how to develop a new DNN4 module.

Rgds/Gunnar

custom modules are NOT intended to be compiled with the core. Using the WAP model, they do not need to be compiled at all. please have a look at the tutorials of CT member Michael Washington at http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com

Yes, for module development you want to use the install version of DotNetNuke. See:

Setting-up the Development Environment (using IIS)

Setting-up the Development Environment (without IIS)
