I'm going nuts !!!

I am customizing a container.  The container has some tables and I am assigning CSS classes to them.

When I add a module (ex: html/text module) I can add text and the module displays correctly.

However, when you click the preview button (or log off), my image references get screwed up or something goes wrong in the CSS because my background image for my table is not being displayed and/or any background images for table cells.

Has anyone encountered this problem ?

I've heard everything from the following:

 "It's an ASP.net 2.0 cache problem"

"Make sure you don't have any style sheet classes that match any classes from another container"

"Make sure you reference <%= SkinPath %> for your images in your .ascx file"

"Make sure you install your container at the portal level not the host level because it's buggy"

On a side topic, I'm having this problem with DNN 4.35 (never had it with DNN 3.0.1/3.2.2).

My way of creating a new container was to install a container I liked, then updated the graphics that it used to my custom graphics.  I tried this but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

I'm frustrated, I'm about to cry and I'm about to call up my psycho ex-gf and ask her if she wants to get back together !

THAT's how crazy I'm going !

Any and all help is appreciated ~!!!!!!

Can you post a link to the example?

By the way, one of the things that changed in the latest version is that a bug was removed, that was being "(mis)used" by some skinners.
If you put css in the header part of an skin's HTML file, this used to apear in the skins ascx file.
That's a bug and was removed, but some people used to create their skins that way.
(while you should put all the css in the skin.css of skinname.css file)

 Timo,

Thank you for replying.  It's sooo embarassing, but I found out what it was.

There's a "display container" checkbox that was unchecked.  I forgot I had unchecked it, because I was wondering if a module had no container did it display a tranparent background or white or the background class of the portal.  I guess I failed to check it . . or . .I checked it and forgot to click on the "update" or "submit" link.

This was DRIVING ME NUTS !!!!!!!!

I thought I was going crazy for a time there.  Do you know I probably designed this one container about 10 different times.

Well, I'm a better person for it.  I don't ever wish this situation on my worst enemy !   *Smile*

But most of all thank you for your reply and offer to help.  I appreciate it !

I know this sounds stupid, but have you checked to make sure your module settings are displaying the container? I've noticed that when I'm editing pages and a module is set to not display, it still shows up with the assigned container, unless I click on preview or logout.

It's worth asking and we certainly don't want you calling your psycho ex gf.
