please describe your configuration:

did you install DNN in web root with "home" as subportal or in virtual directory "home" as parent portal?

if you use a virtual directory "home", make sure, that the IIS settings are made for the virtual directory, that no web.config is inherited and no subdirectory "home" exists.

I have it in a virtual directory under the "Default website" in iis.
To add to this when i browse to the site from my pc it redirects to localhost/home naturally i get  page cannot be displayed,matter of fact i just tried to browse the site with IE on the server and i get the same thing redirect to localhost/home. Crazy
I am not browsing to local host either i browse the ip or the host name
