I looked those over - looks doable - let me see what I can come up with - the category specific fields is probably the hardest thing on that list

 

Anybody got some easy ideas on how to implement that?

A user in anohter thread suggested I look at a product from www.Ispysolutions.com  Looks like a nice classifieds module, I'm not sure if it has all the features needed for georgaphic listings, etc. but I'm going to investigate it further. Might be just the sort of simple system I need.

Barry - I have used a few of theirmodules and they are solid but fairly inflexable - lot of the colors and layout are hard coded in - makes it hard to use in existing designs - but they are god module for the most part

This would be great to get a Classifieds project for dotnetnuke. I personally am trying to set up a free one for my home town since it costs $35 a post in the local papers. The classifieds starter kit is a great example of what I want. The only thing it lacks is the management control of users and their accounts. I started to work on it but I would rather stick with the dotnetnuke community.

I agree, I want to get a classifieds module and looked at ibuy example and read some unfavorable reviews on snowcovered.
