Exciting news, I am looking forward to the continued development of this module and building upon existing code found in the KTomics wiki.

Cheers

This is great news! We implemented WWWiki about a month ago, and love it!

sorry, but i can't be that enthusiastic about that announcement...

...i have bought the ktomics wiki and it is really no fantastic wiki - compared to the 1000s of other wikis for other systems (php...) out there... (no tree structure, ordering, no attachments, no page renaming possible (!), complicated to use, strange ui...)

i thought that the dnn core wiki is far better in many cases - except that it never got out of the beta stage... so why not finishing what you started???

so the question is:
will the limited ktomics wiki be joined with the functionality of the core wiki - while the core wiki gets the stability of the ktomics wiki?

i think there is really a demand for a wiki - as except the ktomics one there is NO other solution out there!!!

really hope something happens soon....

This is a good announcement for one very good reason. You will have a STABLE core wiki very soon.

I think it's also best to start with something stable, and add features... Than attempting to stabalize a beta with a ton of features.

Anyways WWWiki is easy to use, stable, but lacks many features. We use it, and XMod to get around some of the lack of features like page "locking", and "approving" of page changes. You can see our production use of WWWiki here.

When we launched www.dnnwiki.net as a "wikipedia for DNN", the choice of which Wiki to use was an important choice. We wanted to use a DNN module and not use something like Wikimedia - we wanted to support the project. And so the Ktomics Wiki was the best choice. I'm very glad to see it chosen as the core Wiki module, and look forward to it's future as part of the project.

Having spent a lot of time using the product there are many improvements that can be made. However, having a solid start is critical and we have found no problems with the use of this module. Therefore, improvements can be made on code that has already proven itself reliable.

We are excited about how this project will progress.
