Hi,
how can I hide the solpartmenu from anonymous users? Any ideas?

Some more details on our needs.

In the standard layout of our intranet there is no need for the solpartmenu. Navigation is done in a different way. But users that authenticate, eg administrators or the host account should be able to see it. If I hide the tag from the skin (CSS: visibility: hidden; ) then it's not visible to anyone. An idea is to have a different skin for different users. Any ideas? Any other approaches?

To be more specific.

Our request is to hide or disable the solpartmenu from anonymous users. I know that I can hide the solpartmenu tag in the skin using CSS (visibility: hidden;). But then the Solpartmenu is hidden from admininistrators as well. Any ideas where I can dig a bit deeper?

Thanks in advance

Manfred

I can think of three options,

1)  Specify a StartTabId for your menu skin object and have it set to the tabid for the Admin menu.  You may need another menu with the Host tab id.

2)  Use the free solpart menu module and set permissions to be seen only by admins.

3) Create a custom navigation provider that only outputs the menu structure if you are an admin

There are probably more.
