It's a shame so much of the Calendar's formatting is hard-wired and/or employs module.css settings.  I don't understand why core module developers aren't forced to create sub-classes of the DNN core css, instead of the their own classes. (or worse, hard wired formatting.)  I see this in numerous core projects, so Event Calendar is not the only culprit.

Here's the thing... unless you are creating a site that exactly uses the colors employed by this module - EVERYONE has to re-write all the css classes.  What a huge waste of time.  If a *small* portion of that wasted resource was spent on identifying Calendar css classes and sub-classing them to core css classes, it would be done in a matter of a week.

The thing is, if you sub-classed *everything* from the core, then out of the box it would WORK with just about any skin.

Core modules (and in fact all modules), must be inheriting the look and feel of the currently applied skin.  I believe that a core developer should make sure that this is at the top of their road-map.  If it isn't, they are just forcing a ton of tedious work on the entire community -- with no returns on those efforts.
