I have a question about the database location. It doesn't a problem, just something make me confuse.

When I install the DNN, I used some sql management tools to create the database and user account to management database and login SQL server.

But after using DNN for sometimes. I found that the database I create when I installed contains no data at all.

All data about the website is stored in the App_Root/App_Data.

So I am a little confused. What the purpose of the database I create when I installed. (I have tried it. If I didn't create the database, the install process will have problem?)

Why the actual data will store in the App_Root, where is the problem is? Can anybody help me? Thank you~~

DNN uses the database specified in your web.config. IN DNN 4 this is by default a file based SQLExpress database. If you want to use a manually created db you need to comment sqlExpress connection strings and uncomment sql2000/2005 versions.
