I had the: The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

Error problem, I re-did my web.config file and now i get:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Any Clues?

You need to change web.cofig so it reads <customErrors mode="Off"/> instead of Remoteonly. This will give you a more detailed error report that may help figure out what the real problem is. It won't fix the problem.

Good luck. I'm doing a clean install of version 4.5.6 with no luck so far. I'm on try #3 now.

Thanks. It turns out that it was a typo in the web config that caused the errors. I suggest anyone having the same errors check the web config for any typo's.

I just did a clean install of 4.3.5 and backed up my site from an exported template. Last work on this thread for me is use 4.3.5. Wait for a more stable version before upgrading.
