Hi ,

We currently in our DNN website created custome navigation for our main menus by using the TEXT HTML modules. Our Main menus are as following in our website.

knowledge library | knowledge shop | Survey | Links | Sitemap | Home with grey background and white color seperated by "Pipe" i.e "|"

http://knowledge.editage.com

We would like to use the DNN skin object tag for Main menu. In our test local dnn we tried to change the skin and added the following DNN tag <dnn:SOLPARTMENU runat="server" id="dnnSOLPARTMENU" rootonly="true" userootbreadcrumbarrow="false" />

but we are not getting the same result as we have on our live wesite. We are unable to change font color , font size and font bold. We also tried to remove the onmouseover background color but we couldn't.

According to the current existing struture we have include the knowledge library , knowledge shop , Survey links, sitemap and many more pages under home i.e (parent page). Becuase of which <dnn:SOLAPRTMENUE giving us the following result

I understand that i need to remove knowledge shop , knowledge library and all the menu links page from the Home (prarent page) and make these pages also as parent pages. According to the existing navigation on live site home link is at last. How do i shift home link athe last in the DNN:SOLPARTMENU.

Please let me know as soon as possible what properties should i use in the DNN:SOLPARTMENU so that it give me the cloeset reult as we have in our live website.

One more query on SKIN Object What is the difference between the DNN:Menu and DNN:SOLPARTMENU.  Can we use DNN:MENU instead of DNN:SOLPARTMENU. Will the same properties will work in DNN:MENU also?

Regards,
Ashok Naidu

Hi Ashok,

I recomend you look at this website as he has a great tutorial for the Solepartmenu, and i have found it is helping me a lot with my menu challenges on a site i am building for a client.

http://www.dnncreative.com/  its in the tutorials section under the skinning tutorials.  ALl of which are great.  does cost to have access to these, but money well spent i have found.

Hope this helps.

Owen
