Somebody help!  I am trying to install the latest release of DNN on WinSrv 2003 with SQL2005 Stnd..  With SQL 2000 there is no problem but with SQL 2005 I keep getting this error message:

Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SQLDataProvider

There are plenty of posts dealing with this error but the solutions always concern checking the web.config (which I know is fine) and checking permissions.  I am following the install notes carefully so there are no setup issues.

Is there something missing in SQL 2005 that I am not doing and that is not made clear in the setup guide?  One thing I noticed was strange is that the setup tells you to make a SQL login and then make a user tied to that login associated with the DNN database.  But SQL tells me there is already a username associated with the login.  From what I understand, creating a login with dbo rights should do it, the user creation is redundant, no?

please be careful with the connection string:

- there is one version for MS SQL 2000, 2005 and Express, where you need to create a database in advance and assign the necessary acess permission

- there is another version for SQL 2005 Express, if you use a file based database (specifying a .mdf file), where this file is generated by the installation itself
