Ok, so I've read through the DotNetNuke Navigation Web Controls.pdf file (several times) and maybe it's that I'm more of a "formatting guy" than a database / server admin, but I didn't see anything regarding skinning / styling the new menu system.  Anyone have a good explanation? I know that I had heard rumors of a new set of skins from Nina, but I'd really like some kind of "cheat sheet" for setting up the XML / CSS files. I've seen the system in action (can't rember the URL off the top of my head) and I'd love to dive into this as I'm about to pull my hair out over this upper/lower border issue with Solpart...

Tips? Ideas?

I've not seen anything much except what I got from the PDF document regarding it.

*sigh* I'm creating one at the moment - to put online but it's a big job.

Nina,

Maybe I'm just being hard-headed or am I looking at the wrong PDF? I've been mulling over "DotNetNuke Navigation WebControls.pdf" but I just am not seeing anything along the lines of "Element X has a CSS Class of Y" to me, this all reads like it's an outline of how the Webcontrols communicate with the DNN "framework".

The nature of skinning the menu has not been changed from the original DotNetNuke Skinning document.  What features are supported by each menu (Solpart, DNNMenu, DNNTree, DNNDropDown) are outlined in that document.  Additionaly, the reorganized attributes are mapped out in that document (i.e. menuitemcssclass -> cssnode, rootmenuitemcssclass -> cssnoderoot, submenuitembreadcrumbcssclass -> cssbreadcrumbsub)

It sounds like you guys are under the assumption that skinning in general has somehow been changed and negates the original skinning document.  All that has changed is you now have a few new navigation controls that can easily be plugged-in and support varying levels of the original.  Additionally, you have the option to use the new nav skin object, which should be easier to find the attributes you are looking for, due to their consistent naming.
