Hi.

Is there a way in the file manager to make files private?

I have a security role called economy and their files should not be visible for other security roles, is there a hack for this?

in file manager, set folder type to secure (file system) and create a new folder. Grant read and write permission for this folder only to "economy" role.

sure, secure files get listed in core file manager, but default URL control, that is used to place a link to a file, will only list secure folders, if the module supports this feature.
