Back info

DNN 4.0.2

Forum 3.20.01

hosted off of a godaddy account

I am having issues with the displaying of forum avatars on my site. I have done a search and found the "fix" for this as opening the forum_usersettings control and searching for txtavatar and changing readonly to "False"

I have changed this in the forum install folder and re zipped it down.

What I want to know is how do I now get this change loaded to my current forum? Is there any way to do this AND keep the current posts?

Special note, I was told to use 3.20.01 since 3.20.08 does not work in DNN 4.0.2. I am hosted on godaddy so I can not load the newer DNN framework (that I know of).  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Kael

So do I need to delete the current module then reload the "fixed" module?

Is there a way to do this AND keep the current posts and threads or is this taken care of automatically?

You don't have to change the install folder one, just grab the file off the server, make the change to the file, and re-upload that file.  You should be good to go then.
