Hello

I'm using a  template in DNN which looks perfect in IE but messes up in FireFox.

Does it have to do anything with cross browser support in DNN that i'm unaware of . ??

Do i need to configure DNN for cross browser support for layout and displays??

Please help.

I guess you are using IE 6....
In most cases FF renders the HTML/CSS correct and IE 6 doesn't.
IE 7 is a lot better.....
Another reason for "cross browser incompatibilties" are errors in your page (check the page at W3c).

It is better to develop pages for FF and then try to code around the bugs in IE6.

Hope this helps

Another thing that causes some headaches are complicated skins - you might like to have something that looks absolutely fantastic - with no content, in IE and no images, but when you start putting in all the fine tuning, like browser compatibility, expandable and easy to manage, some of the templates you might find lack this in a big way - how do I know?   I get paid to fix up other people's files that don't work - which makes me wonder do they ever test them.

But the key is to be able to balance between design and compatibility. That's why the good skins cost a bit more.
