Hello,

We are developing an new document exchange module, and have released a beta version in the hope that the community will use it and give us some feedback.

here is some general information:

-------------------------------------------------------
Open-DocumentLibrary allows DotNetNuke users to manage and share documents in a flexible, intelligent way, offering granular control over Folder and Document access.

The module offers the possibility to organize documents by physical Folder and by logical Categories, thus making it easy for your users to look for and find documents according to areas of interest. The Administrator can also choose among multiple display options.

All functionality is developed using Ajax, to maximize the responsiveness of the module. The administartor can Drag and Drop folders and categories to cange the structure and organization of the hierarchy. By right clicking on the folders/categories, Administrators will be able to access all the advanced administrator features to administer the library and each folder/category and document. All withouth refreshing the web page.
--------------------------------------------------------

You do NOT need to register to download it.  In the same download area there are three files of interest: the module for DNN3.x, the module for DNN4.x and the User documentation file.

Thank you in advance,

Andreas.

We are officially done testing, and will release the final version of the module the first week of january 2007.

I wanted to publically thank all the people that participated in the beta tests.  This was not the first time we asked the community to participate, but this time the response has been overwhelming.

There have been more than 300 downloads of the module since we made the announcement.  This has resulted in a cascade of suggestions and requests, most of which have made their way through the final application.

The building process is not over yet.  This release will only be the first in a continuous effort to add more and better features.  On our site (www.opendnn.com) we will post the future roadmap soon.

Thanks to you, we have built a better product. Thank You.

Merry XMas,

Andreas
