I upgraded my site from 3.3.5 to 3.3.6 and after the upgrade ran all the way through with no errors, I got

Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable.  Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.
Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

This is in a hosted environment so I have no access to the web server's event log.  I carefully copied all of the various settings, including the machine keys into release.config and saved it as web.config after backing up my existing web.config before uploading the new bits.

Any suggestions?
