I'm using DNN 3.1 and the newest version of the forum module. I enable syndication for a group to use the xml on my main page to highlight the latest posts in the forum. The text shows fine, but the links do not open the threads. When you click a link the page refreshs to the current page. The issue seems to be this:

The actual link to the thread is this:

http://www.domainname.com/MessageBoards/tabid/54/forumid/1/threadid/7/scope/posts/Default.aspx

The link that on the RSS feed, however, is this:

http://www.domainname.com/Default.aspx?tabid=36&forumid=1&scope=posts&threadid=4

The RSS link does not work. What do you all think about this?

Well, as you can see if you look closely, the tabid is wrong on the rss links. It seems when I first enabled the rss feeds that the tabid was 36, but I must have moved the forum to another tab, 54. I would think that the forum module would need to be able to change the tabid in it's rss feeds even if the tabid changes. I'm not sure I'd classify this as a bug, but a needed feature for sure.

Thanks for all your hard work!

I have this issue too !!
The workaround is to "deactivate" RSS syndacationn in Forums configuration and than reactivate it.
I have notice that this works until you restart the server or recycle ASP.NET process.
Cound some one tell us if is there some news about a "new" version ??
Thanks in advance

I too am getting the same error and also noticed if you shut off the rss then reenable it works fine until the process restarts. This is obviously something left hardcoded, b/c mine tries to default to the same tab id as the original poster.

Its not hard coded.  The RSS Feeds are cached based on a value you set in the module configuration.  Until this cycles, you are going to have the old tabid.  Am I overlooking something?
