Hi,

I need to allow users to choose their own Group/Role when registering.

Is this Possible?

I haven't checked this with groups in the latest versions, but when you create a role you can tick a box to make it public, which is what you're after.

I'm not sure you can do this out of the box during the registration process. You can do it by providing them an RSVP code for the role so they can adjust their profile with that.

There are other modules out there that would allow this during the registration process. I have used the UCanUse module for some time now and like it. There are several others as well but I have no experience with them.

I have another question that is related to this problem in that it is to do with users and Permissions.

I am getting an error saying "The Rolle-Manager-Feature is not activated" when trying to retrieve the Users in a Role. Can anyone help me please, I get this problem often.

Thanks in advance,

Lee
