I am having a problem with a custom role.  I have never had this problem before but have now been able to duplicate this on multiple installs.  I am running version 3.3.3.  I am using the home page as it looks upon installation.  I log in as administrator. I create a new user.  I create a new role.  I assign the user to the role.  I open the settings on a text/html module (the "Welcome to my website..." module) and set the newly created role to be able to edit the module.  I log off the administrator.  I log on the new user.  The module that I assigned edit permissions to the new role no longer shows up!  It is gone.  When I log off, it shows up.  One other odd thing to mention is this: on the default home page that shows up after installation, there is a "Sponsors" text/html module in the right pane.  If I go into settings on this module and set the new role to be able to edit, then log in as the user in question, it works fine for that module.  The "Welcome..." text/html module still does not show up at all.  The only difference I see between the 2 modules is the cache time.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds silly, but did you by chance happen to uncheck the "inherit view permissions from page" option when you gave the new role edit rights to your Welcome module?  If you did, both boxes view and edit rights need to be granted for the new role (dnn doesn't assume that, by giving someone edit rights, you naturally want them to view it as well).
